The Students Development Cell has been constituted under The Maharashtra Public University Act-2016.The Student Development Cell of Vivekanand College , Kolhapur (Empowered Autonomous ) is persistently engaged in developing the personality of the student in all spheres of life  which it undertakes various student oriented programs.  The cell is contributing to the intellectual and holistic development of the students under the motto ‘ Education for  Knowledge ,Science and Culture ‘ Shikshanmharshi Dr.Bapuji Salhunke .  It also tries to nurture student’s mental, physical, cultural growth with various activities to improve their overall personality development and to make them civilized Indian citizens to compete in the globalized world.

Objectives of the Student Development Cell :
 To implement the various student development activities
 To Promote leadership qualities among students
 To Produce socially sensitive citizens
 To offer, support and felicitate participation of students in various student
development activities
 To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibilities.
 To identify the needs and problems of surrounding community and involve
themselves in the problem solving process
