The Department of mathematics was established in the year 1964, with the introduction of Undergraduate courses in the Mathematics Department. Also we introduced  postgraduate courses of mathematics in the year 2016. Department of mathematics strives to maintain high standards of teaching mathematics and prepare students for key roles in education, science and other careers. Every year department conducts various activities like quizzes, Poster presentation, class seminars to build confidence among students. 

Department also conducts various Special Certificate courses like COC, Value-added Course and remedial coaching for students coming from non-mathematics backgrounds to remove their fear of mathematics and improve their understanding and calculation skills in mathematics which helps them to complete various competitive examination.
