ACHIEVEMENTS…
The Dept. of History in Vivekanand College, Kolhapur has a glorious history of achievements and academic excellence. During the affiliation system of Shivaji University, Kolhapur our students secured academic excellence in the Merit List of University conjugatively.
In the present Autonomous System, students of the history have achieved good academic excellence. In-depth Courses/Papers, Skill Enhancement Courses and Carrier Oriented Courses are helping students to understand basic Historic knowledge, various concepts, new trends. Further it helps students inculcating Research Interest among them, preparation of competitive examinations and for livelihood.
CIE:
To know the students’ progress and provide them with appropriate guidance; we have Continuous Internal Assessment throughout the year which helps to improve students’ attendance, engage them in classroom activities and evaluate their academic excellence. Further, Open Book Test, Surprise Test, Unit Test, Group Discussion, Seminars, Field Projects, Film Review, Historic Book Review, Research Article Review and Write up about historical monument are the means of our CIE. These co-curricular activities create student friendly classroom and teaching learning process, and creates interest about history and historic monuments.
RESULTS:
All the students and alumni are our asset. The faculty of our department always engaged to motivate students in their carrier building. Students’ performance is our pride.
