The Department of Geography was established in the year 1964. Presently, Geography is taught as an optional subject to B.A. program.  We have started PG Diploma in Geoinformatics in the academic year 2022-23. The department is enriched with a number of teaching and learning equipment. At the B.A.-III thirty students are admitted every year. The department's result is 100%. The department organizes extracurricular activities. Famous people deliver lectures on a variety of subjects. The departmental faculty provides special preparation advice for competitive exams. Additionally, the department organizes study visits. A career-oriented short course in "Travel and Tourism" and "Map Making" is offered by the geography department to B.A. students.

          Faculty inspire students and young faculty members to participate in the research competitions like Avishkar, science exhibition wall paper, poster and model presentations. Department has organized international conference, University syllabus workshops, skill-based workshops, short term courses and student seminars.
